BMW 3.0 CSL
The BMW Motorsport entered 3.0 CSL driven by Brian Redman, Allan Moffat, Hans-Joachim Stuck, and Sam Posey at the 1975 12 Hours of Sebring (the second round of the IMSA Camel GT Challenge). The number 25 BMW won the GTO class, and the overall victory, an historic first for the company in North America (In the spring of 1975, BMW Motorsport entered the American racing scene for the first time). Brian Redman and co-driver Allan Moffat started the race in the number 25 BMW. Sam Posey and Hans Stuck started in the sister car (the number 24), with instructions from the team manager to push as hard as they could, and break the Porsches. Stuck stormed into an early lead, he broke the leading Porsche, but also the number 24 BMW. Posey and Stuck then joined Redman and Moffat in the number 25 car. Brian Redman nursed the car to the finish, suffering issues with the electrics, and an overheating rear axle, but it stayed together and took the checkered flag three laps ahead of the nearest Porsche.
