PORSCHE 904 GTS
The Porsche 904/4 GTS driven by Gerhard Koch and Anton Fischhaber at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Porsche factory entered 904 finished 5th overall, and won the 2 litre GT class (they also won the index of thermal efficiency). This was an impressive result considering there were 11 Ford-engined entries (Daytona Coupés and GT40s), and 12 Ferrari entries in the field. Ahead of the Koch/ Fischhaber car, a new flat-six engined factory 904 of Herbert Linge and Peter Nöcker finished in 4th place, and won the 2 litre prototype class.
